DISCOVER THE HILL SCHOOL

There is something different about growing up at The Hill School.

Our youngest Hedgehogs may begin their journey with us as infants, and many continue through preschool and into elementary school. Along the way, they grow up surrounded by familiar faces—teachers who know them, friends who become family, and a school community that gets to celebrate each new milestone with them.

At THS, students aren’t simply names on a class roster. We know their personalities, their strengths, the things that challenge them, what makes them laugh, and when they need a little extra encouragement. Our intentionally small school environment gives children room to be known while they grow.

School days here aren’t confined to a desk. You may find students conducting a science experiment, practicing for a play, singing during praise and worship, shooting baskets outside, hiking to the creek, working with a teacher in a small group, learning Spanish or ASL, building something with their classmates, or gathering together for Chapel.

And through all of it, we want our students to know something even more important:

They are created by God. They are deeply loved. Their character matters. And they have something meaningful to contribute to the world around them.

The Hill School is a place to learn, explore, worship, create, play, lead, make mistakes, try again, build friendships, and grow up.

This is more than where our students go to school.

At The Hill School, we believe every child is uniquely created by God with individual gifts, strengths, and a purpose. Our role is to provide a Christ-centered environment where children are known, loved, challenged, and encouraged to become who God created them to be.

We believe faith should be woven naturally into every part of a child's education--not limited to Bible class or Chapel. God's Word provides the foundation for how we learn, lead, serve, solve problems, build relationships, and understand the world around us. Our teachers are committed Christian educators who strive to model the love of Christ while helping students develop a strong Biblical worldview.

The Hill School firmly believes that children learn best when they are actively engaged in their learning. Through strong academics, hands-on experiences, meaningful relationships, creativity, exploration, and opportunities to lead, we challenge students to think deeply, ask questions, persevere though challenges, and develop a genuine love of learning.

Education at The Hill School extends beyond academics. We are committed to developing the whole child--spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. We intentionally nurture character, confidence, responsibility, compassion, independence, and leadership so our students are prepared not simply for the next grade level, but for the life God has called them to live.

Above all, we want every student to understand that their life has purpose, their gifts matter, and they have the ability to make a difference. Our prayer is that they leave The Hill School prepared to learn boldly, lead faithfully, love others well, and let their light shine.
