At The Hill School, we believe children were made to move, explore, play, and experience the outdoors. Physical activity is intentionally woven into the school experience, giving students opportunities to build strength, coordination, confidence, teamwork, and healthy habits while having fun.
Students age 2 through 6th grade have opportunities to participate in Hedgehog Athletics, our school athletics program. Depending on the season and grade level, offerings include cheerleading, soccer, football, T-ball, baseball, basketball, and more. Our campus also includes on-site batting cages and a fenced outdoor basketball court, giving students additional opportunities to practice skills and stay active.
But we know not every child wants to play organized sports—and that’s okay. At THS, there are many ways to be active. Students can challenge themselves on our climbing walls, hike to the creek, explore the outdoors, build forts, participate in outdoor games and challenges, and enjoy other movement-based experiences throughout the school year.
We love the outdoors at The Hill School and believe some of the best learning, relationship-building, and childhood memories happen beyond the four walls of a classroom.
Our goal is for every student—not just our athletes—to discover ways they enjoy moving their bodies, challenging themselves, working with others, and experiencing God’s creation.
